QC Petroleum Limited was established in 1996 and became the first private importer of petroleum for the domestic market. After charges in import regulations, the company shifted focus into import and distribution of lubricants for the automotive market.


With the growing demand for further extension of the Lubricant Sector in Bangladesh, QC moved into this steam early last year on a test case basis. Although, no formal infrastructure was in place in the market, QC has managed to create a QUALITY image with its distinct high-profile organizational reputation and with the limitless effort of its employees.

Goals and Objectives:

• To be a leading player in the lubricant market by 2004, ensuring quality products and timely availability.

• To achieve the market share of 5% by 2004 and 10% by 2005.

• To obtain 10% net profit.


At present, the lubricant market is primarily dominated by NOC's and few private companies. The quality of the products remains secondary while the cheaper solution tends to be the more-important criterion of customers' selection. With the sense of ingraining a strong distribution network in both the market place, QC has set up 40 distributors across the country at prime business locations. The balanced advantageous agreement with the renowned distributors indicate a thriving output of the intimate company-distributors relationship and hint the grand success of the company in both the bulk and small pack sector. QC has also set up 4 depots in Dhaka & Chittagong respectively and is in the process of spreading the numbers throughout Bangladesh.
