In the
last 25 years, QC has gained acceptance as Shipping
Agents of various MLO's (Main Line Operators) in
Bangladesh. Under QC Container Line- the first
container vessel owing / operating company in
private sector , QC has started operating the
feeder service to/from Chittagong connecting the hub ports.. After becoming a
successful feeder operator in this region, QC was
encouraged to start COC service within South East
Asia - covering the major ports of Indian Subcontinent
as per the demand of the Local and overseas
customers/partners.
QC Feeders Ltd. (QCFL) has started its COC service
from very early days of the new Millennium (2000), as
the only company of it's nature of shipping business in
Bangladesh. At the beginning, this service covered only a
few Ports like Chittagong, Singapore, Port Klang, and
Karachi thus to maintain QC tradition of pioneering a
new business/industry. At present, QCFL is covering the
following Ports:

2. Singapore - Port of Singapore
3. Malaysia - Port Klang, Port of Tanjung Pelapas, Pasir Gudang,
Penang, Ipoh.
4. Indonesia - Jakarta, Surabaya, Belawan.
5. Thailand - Bangkok, Laem Chabang.
6. Pakistan - Karachi.
7. India - Kolkata, Haldia, Chennai, Mumbai, ICD New Delhi.
8. Myanmar - Yangon.
9. Sri Lanka - Colombo.
10.UAE - Jebel Ali, Port Rashid - Dubai
11.Iran - Bandar Abbas
12.Kuwait - Shuwaikh, Shuaiba
The expansion of QCFL services were focused on increased cargo
movement within the ports listed above. Due to QCCL's efficient
feeder service to/from the HUB ports (Singapore, PTP & Port Klang),
QCFL takes the shortest possible time to deliver boxes not only
at Chittagong but also at all other ports under the service. It
may be mentioned that QCFL has entered into a long-term lease
contract with GESeaCo, the largest container leasing company in
the world that is represented by QC Shipping Ltd.
In the year 2003 total through port of QCFL was
42,196 teus .. by far
the highest among the regional shipping companies of its kind.
